Note by the Secretary-General


1. The Permanent Mission of Peru to the United Nations Office in New York informed the Secretary-General on 21 December 2000 that the Government of Peru had decided to withdraw the candidature of Mr. William Toro Cabrera to the Committee on the Rights of the Child (see document CRC/C/SP/29).
