Note by the Secretary-General

Addendum

The Secretary-General wishes to inform all States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of the Child that he received a note verbale from the Permanent Mission of the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya to the United Nations, dated 12 February 1999, indicating that the Government of the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya has decided to withdraw the nomination of Mr. Abdussalam Bashir Duweby to the election of five members of the Committee on the Rights of the Child to replace those whose terms are due to expire on 28 February 1999.
