Note by the Secretary‑General

Addendum

1. After the preparation of document CRC/SP/24 and Add.1 and 2, the Secretary-General has received a note verbale from the Permanent Mission of the Kyrgyz Republic to the United Nations, dated 21 December 1998, indicating that the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic has decided to withdraw the nomination of Mrs. Mira Jangaracheva to the election of five members of the Committee on the Rights of the Child to replace those whose terms are due to expire on 28 February 1999.

2. On 6 January 1999, the Permanent Mission of the Republic of the Sudan to the United Nations Office at Geneva indicated in a note verbale that the Government of the Sudan had decided to withdraw the nomination of Mr. Ahmed Abdel Halim Mohamed to the same election of five members of the Committee on the Rights of the Child.

3. On 20 January 1999, the Permanent Mission of Honduras to the United Nations Office at Geneva indicated that the Government of the Republic of Honduras had decided to withdraw the nomination of Mr. Jorge Alberto Valladares Valladares to the same election of five members of the Committee on the Rights of the Child.
