                                    Addendum

1.   With reference to the lists of candidates mentioned in CRC/SP/21 and CRC/SP/21/Add.2, the Permanent Missions of Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica and the Islamic Republic of Iran have informed the Secretariat, by notes dated 11, 12 and 13 February 1997, that their Governments have decided to withdraw their respective candidates in the forthcoming elections to the Committee on the Rights of the Child.
