Addendum
1.In addition to the nominations contained in document CERD/SP/46, the Secretary-General has received the following nomination for the election of nine members of the Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination to replace those whose terms are due to expire on 19 January 1994 in accordance with the provisions of article 8 of the Convention:
Mr. Angel MWENDA (Zambia).

1992:Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Zambia to the United Nations Office at Geneva
1991:Deputy Chairman for organization and mobilization of the opposition party, the MMD (now in power) also Special Adviser and Election Agent to the Presidential candidate
1989-90:Economic consultant: Meridien International Bank, S.A. (was involved in the evaluation of projects for Africa and drawing up feasibility studies for projects in manufacturing)
