1 Czechoslovakia had ratified CERD on 29 December 1966, CCPR on 23 December 1975, CCPR OP 1 on 12 March 1991, CESCR on 23 December 1975, CEDAW on 16 February 1982, CAT on 7 July 1988, CRC on 7 January 1991, and subsequently Czechoslovakia dissolved into the states of Czech Republic and Slovakia. In a letter dated 16 February 1993, the Government of the Czech Republic, as a successor state, notified the Secretary-General that it considered itself bound, as of 1 January 1993, i.e., the date of dissolution of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic, by multilateral international treaties to which the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic was a party on that date.
2 In its concluding observations adopted on 8 June 2007, the Committee on the Rights of the Child invited the State party submit its third periodic report by 6 October 2012.
